Immediately below are overviews of some the work done over the course of Project 1. At the bottom of the page, you'll find downloadable documentation and brief descriptions for each assignment.

A register of our team members and their assigned roles

An establishment of the initial problem statement as well a combination of objective trees for the entire wind turbine

Establishment of a finalized problem statement and objective tree along with metrics by which to go by for the top objectives

Material selection process via Granta according to assigned scenario

Milestone 3A

Problem statement for turbine blade specifically and material selection for the blade based on a decision matrix.

Milestone 3B

Estimation of maximum turbine deflection and deflection simulation with CAD model of turbine blade

Milestone 4 Individual

Estimation of deflection according to thickness of blade with the selected material.

Milestone 4

Confirmation of the thickness of the blade will require with selected material as well as an interview with another design team
